The number of real estate transactions has decreased sharply, and buying and selling and investment activities have almost stopped. According to statistics, the number of real estate businesses declaring suspension or downsizing has increased significantly compared to the previous year. In order to survive, the remaining businesses are forced to streamline their apparatus, restructure debt, and cut operating costs to the maximum to optimize finances during this volatile period.
In this challenging context, the question for real estate businesses is how to avoid repeating the mistakes of weak businesses, while firmly overcoming the difficulties of the market. Building a sustainable development strategy and timely adjustment is the key factor to ensure the survival and development of businesses in the coming period.
The Dot Property Vietnam Awards 2024, with the theme “Sustainable Development: Building the Foundation for the New Cycle of Vietnamese Real Estate”, reflects the urgent need for real estate businesses to transform their development models. Discussion: Leading experts share multi-dimensional perspectives on Vietnam’s real estate market
At the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh – Chairman of Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Association – Vice Chairman of Vietnam Real Estate Association shared very positive signals and believed that Vietnam’s real estate market will recover and develop in the near future. Meanwhile, Ms. Cao Ngan Ha – Marketing Director – Sun Group Corporation shared key plans and orientations, in which tourism development along with maintaining and creating culture is the guiding principle on the journey to develop Vietnam’s tourism to 2030 to become a key economic sector. Next, the representative of Nam Long Group – a real estate enterprise with more than 30 years of experience in the market, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Huong – Investment Director of Nam Long Group Corporation gave her perspective on the preparation of a leading residential real estate development enterprise revolving around 3 pillars to revive the real estate market, which are “capital, land fund, policy”. Also participating in the discussion was a foreign expert – Mr. David Jackson – CEO of Avison Young Vietnam, an expert with many years of experience in the real estate sector in and outside of Vietnam, who gave suggestions on the core factors for real estate projects to be developed according to sustainable standards and bring lifelong value to customers. The Vietnamese real estate ecosystem cannot lack the role of real estate brokerage companies. Mr. Nguyen Le Hai Dang – Spokesperson & Brand Ambassador – Vice President of the Vietnam Real Estate Training Association gave his opinion based on his experience and experiences on the opportunities and challenges of real estate brokerage businesses in the new cycle, as well as the standards of professional real estate brokers in this new period.
